Description

During the tour, you will explore the medieval Bologna and its outstanding porticoes and ancient defensive towers. At the Archiginnasio, you will get to know the history of its university, the oldest one in the western world, and stand in awe of the amazing Basilica Santo Stefano.

The tour guide will then lead you through the narrow streets and crowded streets of the oldest market in Bologna, the so-called Quadrilatero, home to many ancient and typical grocery and wine shops, offering local products and delicatessen.

The tour includes 3 stops for a food & wine tasting of traditional products such as the famous Aceto Balsamico tradizionale "4 stagionature", the Parmigiano Reggiano aged 36 months, and focaccia bread and cold cuts with a glass of wine or beer. The type of food available for our tastings is subject to changes depending on the tour day.

Comfortable clothes and sportswear.
Sunscreen and a hat are recommended in the summer, and gloves, scarves and a cap in winter.
