Cycling along the Sillaro river, surrounded by lakes and ravines
The Sillaro river flows through Castel San Pietro Terme, a few kilometres away from Bologna. Starting from this city, this bike tour will take you to the Sillaro valley and its extraordinary natural landscapes and ravines.

Watch out: In order to join one of our bike tours you need to be confident in your use of a bicycle
You'll first meet your guide in Castel San Pietro Terme for some suggestions about the expected behaviour and the performance along the tour. Heading north, we'll keep the river on our right and ride over the bike and pedestrian bridge that will allow us to cross the waters.
We’ll then cycle on a gravel road running along the river for about 5 km, and admire the view of the typical ravines of the Sillaro valley, the lakes of San Martino in Pedriolo and its namesake church.
After getting to San Martino we’ll ride towards Sassoleone and San Clemente, where we’ll enjoy a refreshment break. Once rested and refreshed we’ll finally go back to Castel San Pietro through a favourable slope.
Dress code:
Sport and comfortable clothing. Patched trousers, cycling gloves, sunglasses and light jacket are suggested.
Technical advice:
Bring a backpack for the jacket, water and food bars
Before the tour please nourish yourself with light and energizing products
