Tour program

The route immediately crosses the Sillaro stream through a bike and pedestrian bridge. Riding through steep gravel roads we’ll quickly reach Monte Del Re, amazing natural terrace from which admire the view of the Padana valley. We’ll then cycle on the ridge that separates the valleys of Sillar and Sellustra, first on gravel roads and then through a single-track , a path where caution and attention are needed.

A swift ride down on gravel road will take us to a paved street a few kilometres long, after which we’ll start our ascent towards the opposite slope until we reach Pieve di Sant'Andrea; we’ll find ourselves on the ridge that separates the Valleys of Sellustra and Santerno, among hilly vineyards.

With a speedy and quite disjointed descent we’ll reach below the town of Dozza, included in the list of the 100 most beautiful villages of Italy, with its famous “painted wall”, a particular fresco technique which can be found throughout its streets. Once arrived in the town centre we’ll take a refreshment break and then proceed towards Monte del Re and get back on track towards Castel San Pietro Terme.
